Mission Statement

The Georgia Reading Association is a membership organization whose mission is promoting literacy in Georgia.

Goals

1. Empower members of the Georgia Reading Association and local councils to become effective leaders in the field of literacy.
2. Provide quality reading education services to all Georgia educators.
3. Recognize exemplary individuals and local and state literacy efforts.
4. Achieve maximum involvement of members at the local, state, and international levels to provide members maximum benefits.
5. Promote goals and objectives of the International Literacy Association and the Georgia Reading Association.
6. Assist in implementing the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
